Meet the Makers: The Story Behind Polong Crafts

Meet the Makers: The Story Behind Polong Crafts

Jessie didn't plan to start a shop. Honestly, she just wanted to make art that felt like a deep breath.

Hi — we're Jessie and Jim Art, the siblings behind Polong Crafts. Jessie studied animation and design at Max the Mutt College of Animation, Art & Design. Jim graduated from the University of Waterloo with a double major in Law and Business — and while that might sound like an unlikely path to a sticker shop, those skills are exactly what keep Polong Crafts running. Someone has to make sure the creative chaos has a solid foundation.

Why stickers?

There's something quietly powerful about a small piece of art you can carry with you. A sticker on your water bottle, your laptop, your journal — it's a tiny reminder to pause. That's really what we're after. Not loud. Not flashy. Just a little moment of oh, right — I like this.

Our animal designs come from that same place. Animals have this way of being completely present. A snail moving at its own pace. A bird mid-song. We find that grounding, and we hope you do too.

What we make

Every design starts as a hand-drawn idea — sketched, refined, and eventually turned into a vinyl sticker or fine art print. We obsess over the details: the line weight, the colours, the way a design feels when you hold it. We want our work to feel handcrafted even when it's in your hands.

We also run Pieces of Serenity, our monthly art mail club — a curated subscription of art and stickers delivered straight to your door. Because some things are better slow.

What's next

We're just getting started. New designs, new collections, and a lot more behind-the-scenes to share. If you want to follow along, you're in the right place.

Thanks for being here. It genuinely means a lot. 🐌
